SMTP Authentication in 7.95?

	I see some of the new features in 7.95 are: Support for SMTP Server authentication Support for �locahost� SMTP servers The CDOSYS doesn't seem to work for me. I have always gotten an error page. Now that SMTP authentication is available, I can use my ISP's SMTP server. The problem is, I don't see where I add in the SMTP authentication information. The Email COnfiguration Setup page is the same. There are no new fields to add authentication info. Where can I do this so I can use my SMTP server and get my email functioning now? 	Becuase having an option in the online admin section would require extra fields in the database I decided it was best to wait till version 8 for the admin section part to this new feature. So, for the moment you will need to edit the file 'functions/functions_send_mail' with note pad. You will find in this file the following at line 65:- 'If you use SMTP authentivation enter the username and password in the following variables strMailServerUser = "" 'SMTP server username strMailServerPass = "" 'SMTP server password Just type in the SMTP server authentication details between the quote marks eg:- strMailServerUser = "username" 'SMTP server username strMailServerPass = "password" 'SMTP server password

	Thank you again for the quick response. I edited the file like you stated and the error went away. I successfully received teh email notification now too. This means, I can turn back on the email authentication feature for new user accounts. I have had this off ever since I started using WWF, since my ISP blocks me from running a local SMTP server. Thanks again!

	Hey team, I might be crazy but I can't find the code anywhere. Is this true for version 7.96 for access?

	it should be in the V7.96 aswell make sur eit was downloaded/unzipped ok , and that you are looking at correct version files
