Anyone know how to speed up when you double click on getting the database list from a server?

When I connect to gearhost through Enterprise Manager, it takes about 5 seconds to connect to the server, then about 20 mins to get the database list up.

EM is slow but 20 minutes is excessive.
There was an update a few months back that speeds up EM considerably. I think it was an update to SQL Server, but it might have been to EM also.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

Install the SQL 2005 management tools, they are much faster...

It also could be that the database server you are on is overloaded.  I've been on a number of servers, and the amount of load on the server does effect how long it takes for you to connect.
