Hi All,

I am trying to post hardly 2 pages of MS word (Text Only) but when I click on Post Preview button it is displaying following error message

Request object error 'ASP 0107 : 80004005'

ASP, which the forum is written in, has some limitations, one of them being the amount of data that can be posted to the server and retrieved using the ASP Request object.

The amount of data that the request object can handle is 100kb.

There is no way of knowing how long a post can be. For each site, browser, user, etc. the amount will be different, as the Request object also holds cookie, browser, header, etc. data.

You could also try copying and pasting from word into notepad, then copy and paste from notepad to your forum post.

The reason for this is that word tends to hide lots of extra data behind your text which would bulk out the amount of data sent to the server.

In word, if you "save as html, and then view source, you'll be amazed at how much total crap is added. Copying from an original word doc has even more.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.
