Strange bug in simple ASP code...

   Hi guys, heres a simple slice of code:

If len(rsCommon("Subject")) > 18 then
  str_topic_subject = left(rsCommon("Subject"),18) & "..."
else
  str_topic_subject = rsCommon("Subject")
end if
The code simply cuts down the length of a topic and adds ... to the end of it if its too long to display.
My question is that sometimes for no apparent reason it adds &# to the end of the string!
