Hello. I've done some research on this question prior to asking it but I can't find the answer or find where it might have been asked before. So, here goes...
I installed the forums yesterday afternoon and everything seemed to display normally. (Keep in mind I'm on the Brinkster edcuational (free) package.) When I first went to log in, it gave me a 500 error, but because of the computer I was on (and its security restrictions as it was a borrowed laptop), I was unable to turn off the friendly server errors in IE to see where/what the error was. I decided I'd have to wait until later that evening to fix it when I could get on my brothers computer where I have such control over IE's settings. Well, just for grins, I got onto the net and the forum I just instaled, and rather than giving me a 500 error when I attempted to log in, I'm getting:
"Sorry, only members with sufficient permission can access this page.
A security error has occurred with authentication.
Please ensure that all cookies are enabled on your web browser, and you are not using a saved or cached copy of the page. "
I reuploaded the forum database--no change. I reuploaded both common.asp files--no change.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
HighFlight
