Topic: Submits without code completion Posted: 12 December 2008 at 7:38am |
The Captcha image does not appear automaticaly when the online form is accessed, it only appears when "Load new code" is pressed. Also the form processes without the captcha code being copied!
Help will be appreciated.

Sounds like you have not installed the software correctly.
Go back and start again, but this time follow the installation instructions exactly and you should not have any problems.

It's not a case of just copy and pasting the code in, you need to configure Web Wiz CAPTCHA as what to do if the CAPTCHA code is entered incorrectly otherwise it will process the page as normal.
You also need to include Web Wiz CAPTCHA code in your send_email.asp file, so that the form input can be prossed by Web Wiz CAPTCHA otherwise the form will be submitted directly to your email send code without being processed.
See the basic install instructions below and pay particular attention to steps 7 and 8:-

Hi again.
Thanks for your continued assistance.
I am quite good at making longcase clocks but as you would have detected, totaly c**p at coding web sites. While i am f*rting about with codes I could make another clock. Would you be intereted in installing the full version of CAPTCHA into my web site for a fee??

Your image appears to be loading fine now, but the problem you are now facing is because you have not linked to the image correctly.
your image is located at: http://www.classic-clocks.co.uk/CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_image.asp
but you are linking to: http://www.classic-clocks.co.uk/web_wiz_CAPTCHA_v4.0/CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA/CAPTCHA_image.asp
Once you correct the path to the image your captcha should work fine.

Hi
I have corrected the image location link as stated and the image loads correctly as you statedv- just on remaining error, the form still transmits without filling in the code!
Once this is fully working is there much tech stuff to upgrade to the full CAPTCHA package?

Thanks - I now have everything workng @ I hadnt provide links to the CAPTCHA files - just one glitch, If I press LOAD NEW CODE I get an error, not a new code! I presume that I still have a link missing or do I still have a code error?
Secondly, can code be added to disable the "Send to Oakside" button until the the CAPTCHA is entered correctly?
