Currently when a forum category is hidden the Category is still displayed. The Forums or topics aren't displayed but this kind of defeats the purpose.
 
I have a few secret forums. Or forums that I am currently adding content to. I would rather the users do not see that these forums are even available.

This request has been made many, many times. Use the forum search (modifications, that is) and you will find what you are looking for.

This is currently being written into version 8 as an array is to be used to make this much simpler to implement.

Thanks. There are a few queries on this topic and I have read them. However they are not real clear as to what versions they work with and what areas of the forum (search, etc) they work in.
 
The most blatant area is of course the search function. It displays the posts of the hidden forums. Not good. I would like to use the forum but this would prohibit me from using it.
