Can I suppress the "What's Going On" section on the main forum page?

As far as I recall you can do this by editing in notepad the includes/setup_options_inc.asp file.

You need to turn off things like birthdays, active user list, etc.

The only setting that looks like it would apply is

Const blnForumViewing = True 'Displays how many users are viewing a forum

I changed it to read

Const blnForumViewing = False 'Displays how many users are viewing a forum

But I still see the entire "What's Going On" which includes Forum Statistics and Active Users.

Active User can be disable from the admin area, this will remove the 'Active User' Section.

In the setup_options_inc.asp file the part 'blnDisplayBirthdays' will remove the 'Todays Birthdays' section.

The last part 'Forum Statistics' can not be removed, but this part is common and found on nearly all forums these days and users sort of expect to see it there.
