Does anyone know of a good free telnet/ssh applet?
PLEASE don't tell me to search hotscripts etc!
I have found a few but you have to specify the site it connects to. I want an applet that will allow the client to choose where to connect to.

Why not make a form with the server, post it to the page with the applet and do a <%= request.form("server") %> or similar?

How could I do this? The file is a config file and is not generated by the server.

Can't you recreate the config file based upon the input from the form and then launch the applet?

To do Telnet, the telnet service will need to be running on your web host. I noticed in another thread that your host doesn't allow pop3. I don't think to many windows hosts offer telnet. Most unix hosts have rplaced it with ssh/rsh.

I found a java applet that does it. The point is not to connect to my server but to connect to whatever server the client wants.

Well how do you specify the server? Via an object parameter?
