I've been trying to add that to my site's main page using the same code -borg- uses on the forum and i get "This page was generated in 83,209.9400 Seconds"  ..........this is the code i'm  using:

Response.Write "This page was generated in " & FormatNumber(Timer() - dblStartTime, 4) & " Seconds"

how come it works fine on the forum and not on my site's homepage? and what can i do to get it to work?

As TimeTaken (assuming this is behind "Timer") is expressed in milliseconds, looks like you may have multiplied the result by 1,000 instead of dividing by 1,000.

Then again, maybe your Server needs a little more horsepower!

Your only ending the timer there.

You need to start the timer at the top of the page.
