i like linux's documentation... you can pretty much type in anything after man and it gives you info... i.e.

man pizza

an open pie made typically of flattened bread dough spread with a savory mixture usually including tomatoes and cheese and often other toppings and baked -- called also pizza pie

But really, man isn't very useful. It returns cryptic garbage that if you don't already know what it is, then it won't help. Buy a book  

For a more concrete comparison, man is only slightly more useful than Windows help...
