I want to check in which country my site is seen most and what is the approximate time a visitor spends on my website. How can I do this. In my webhosting company report 87% of the traffic is put into general category i.e. not divided into different countries. I need a good tool which can give me more specific information.

Almost any of the web stats packages can extract such info from your log files - look at awstats, webalizer, and urchin.

Best the stats will do is shown time up to the last click - not the time they went somewhere else from their favorites menus.

Country stuff is iffy (as are all stats), but countrycheck.com does a decent job pretty cheaply.

If you are feeling uber-geek, you can download all the IP address assignments from ARPNIC, KRNIC, etc., then build yourself a program to process it all - and it will all be free

Address assignments are updated continuously and they are 100% accurate as of the update.
