Does anyone familiar with this error message below?

Error Type:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)

I have been getting this one lately when I run ASP script locally from my machine, using IIS and window XP. I have check the database file n the read-only tick was already off.

Any suggestion how to eliminate this error in the future and what caused this thing to happend and offcourse how to fix this problem.

Any suggestion would be extremely helpfull.Confused

Thanks

Tha's a generic permissions error. Doesn't only apply to the db itself, but also to objects within or used by the db.
http://www.aspfaq.com/search.asp?q=0x80004005&type=ALL&category=0&numDays=0&order=1 pretty much covers most of the situations that it could apply to.

Also, try setting your av software to allow scripts to run.
IIRC, some of the recent XP security patches had something to do with mdb files as well.

Lead me not into temptation... I know the short cut, follow me.

I've had that problem a lot. All I needed to solve was to change the permissions in the IIS console to full read write access and the problem went away.

Give it a go. That should help you out.
