hi, i need to backup the databse files from my sql server 2k. but when i click on 'configure replication', the alert box message, says the "The sql server replication do not support nicknames like (local)"
the message says,
Delete sql server registration for this server and register it using actual server name
i have already did the databses , so cannot delete it.
the console root in the Enterprise manager has the following lists:
Console Root
- Sql Server
-(Local) ------instead of my pc name "NEC P4"
can anyone help me to solve this problem? i think is becos my comp name is not in the console root expansion list in Sql server 2k, thus it don regconisemy pc..
i think by changin (local ) to my pc name , NEC P4 will solve this issue..
