Hi Borg,
Will version 8 of Web Wiz Forums support inserting audio/video in a post? Like extensions .mp3 and .wmv? It would be great if they get supported.

Only if you link to them, or use the upload tool.
But they are not going to be supported by BB Codes that will auto play them at present.
If there is time I may look into it, but at the moment there is allot of other work to be done.
I've have just spent all weekend working on a system so that cookies are not required to use the forum, I think there is around another 40 hours work to get it finshed correctly as every single link needs to be updated, which means going through every single line of code.

One of the most common issues with users is that they can not login, because of cookie issues.
Usually it is either because they use IP/domain masking, forwarding, etc. so cookie don't work for their site, or another common issue is that IE's cookie cache often becomes corrupted so users can not login.
I've probably spent 100's of hours answering support issues of cookies, so having a cookie free forum will save me time in the long run.

I think it is essential to have that on a bulletin board system like web wiz forums. It adds value to it... there are a lot of entertainment sites who would love to insert audio/video in their posts... my forum members have always asked for it.

I had 3 emails yserterday from people with cookie issues, just do a search of the forum to see how many people have cookie issues. If you clean your IE cache often IE's cookie index bug doesn't happen, but it often effects novice users who never clean their cookie cache
