Retrieve password without re-setting?

As an admin, is it possible to retrieve a users password if they have forgotten it?  I know I can change it to somethign else and email them, but is there a way to find out what their old password was?

For security reasons passwords are 160bit one way encrypted so are almost impossible to recover.
