Many thanks - I just typed a long note about my positive experiences duing the upgrade and some tips...I lost it as I hit the wrong Post Reply button below and I don't want to type it again !!!
Members may not know you have to hit Post Reply to get the full RTE and indeed are likely to do the same as me and not hit Post Reply on the Quick Reply form !!!
In general, database upgrade went well, CSS took ages to get the way I wanted and a.smLink:visited and a.smLink:hover need to be added. My three old uploads folders need to be moved to the new system to retain the files, avatars and images and their links. Both the new upload folder and its temp sub-folder need upload permissions (as usual) so I used frontpage. Permissions need setting up again but this was much quicker using the new approach.
All done in a few hours (mostly the CSS) and no major headaches - many thanks.
A couple of people noted errors the first time in on Active Topics and PMs but these seem to have gone away - strange.
