Unable to send emails

I am new to Wib Wiz Forum, I have set it up but seem to be unable to send any emails. if i do a mass mailing test it runs but shows no errors, however no emails are received. the only information appearing on the page is:-

The email's are being sent
Do not Hit Refresh or some members will receive the email twice!

This may take some time depending on the speed of the mail server and how many email's there are to send. < name=frmSent>There are 5 email's sent out of a total of -1

< name=frmSent> Your email's have now been sent.

 
I have set the email component to CDOSYS (W2k/2k3/XP Pro). it is hosted on my own server.
 
Can anyone help?

Check that your SMTP server is actually relaying on the emails and that your emails are not just sat in the SMTP servers queue.

Also check you don't have a spam filter that is rejecting the emails.

Thanks for your reply. it seems now that the email is working. atlhough strangely?
 
the mass email works to everyone except my username, so i sent an individual email to myself and received it ok. So i'm fairly satisfied that all is ok
