enetring the email address twice at signup

Hi all, i have searched for this to no avail so apologies if it has been covered.

i am finding a lot of members are not getting there verification emails and they bounce back to me because they have incorrectly entered there email address.

is it possible to change the code so they havce to enter the email address twice to try and stop this?
