Hi there,

We have installation at our little not-for-profit organisation of Web Wiz 6.24 that has been working perfectly fine up till now - alas it is being plagued by commerical spammers, and the "moderation" feature of version 8 seems to be a solution.

I am trying to upgrade to the latest version, but the tools for version 7 -> version 8 database conversion don't seem to work for version 6.

Would appreciate any advise/comments on how to proceed.

Thanks,
/vijayan

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I forgot to mention that ours is an SQL Server installation - however, the migration tool from the link provided seems to apply only to Access databases.

Sorry if I'm overlooking something...!

Thanks,
/vijayan

Hi there,

Has anyone successfully upgraded from version 6 to 8 on MS SQL. Is there a 6 to 7 SQL upgrade tool?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
ZM

Hi there. We've been using WWForums for years now and want to upgrade as well.

We currently have version 6.34 and want to upgrade to the latest 8.05.

We're using the MS SQL version and I have been reading the bboards and docs looking for documentation to help with this upgrade but I don't seem to see anything specifically for v6 to v8 MS SQL version.

Our board has 50k members and 170k posts so th integrity of the DB is paramount.

Does there exist a set of directions or tools to help me with this upgrade?

It looks like it's possible to upgrade from 6.34 to 8, but 6.11 to 6.34 seems impossible. I am getting the follwing error when I try to run the DB upgrade tool from 6 to 7.

Pop up window with the following title
Form_frmDataMigrator.cmdExecute_Click

Error 0:

Help please!
