I am upgrading from version beta 3 to final 7.

This is the error I get after manually updating the Access 2000 database, field by field, table by table - following the instructions in Version_History.txt:

Microsoft JET Database Engine error '80040e10'

No value given for one or more required parameters.

/w7/forum_topics.asp, line 341

Line 340-341 reads:

'Query the database
rsForum.Open strSQL, adoCon

The forum seems to work fine otherwise in the final. Does anyone have a clue as to what may cause this particular error?

Output the strSQL string to the screen to see exactly what is being sent to the database.

response.write strSQL
response.end

Then post that string here for us to have a squiz at.

Cheers,
Andrew

You have to set the default value to "0" -- I think that is what I did to fix my install

By manually updating the database things can go wrong as the auto-number fields may mean that posts, topics, members, etc. no-longer match up giving database errors.

Found the error:

According to the file Version_History.txt there should be a new field in tblForum - Moved_ID - integer datatype. However, that field is actually supposed to be in tblTopic. I went into the db and changed this, now the forum seems to work.
