Tree View

Is it possible to get a tree view of the forums?

One where not only are the forums threaded, but possible to see which replies in a thread were to which posts?

We have a need for this sort of a view.

If this isn't available, is it possible to do with a skin?

Is the data in the databases even kept in a manner that this would be possible?  In other words, does a post in a thread, know which other post in the thread it is a reply to?    Or are they all indexed only as being a part of the thread itself?
