You must have corrupted files, try deleting the files and reuploading again.
Either that or you may have updated the forum from an old version and it hasn't worked, try compacting and repairing the database before and after the update.
Also some mods don't always work so make sure you only run original forum files.

while updating the configuration page i got this error
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'CBool'
/forum/admin/forum_configure.asp, line 1978
All files have been extracted from its zip file, no modification yet, i deleted all files an re-extracted again, the problem was not fixed. I've tryed to compact and repair the database. The problem is still there, i've no mods installed and i'm running the original forum files. I've deleted all cookies too in explorer. The rest seems to work fine. My versión: web wiz forums access2000 v7.01. What can i do?.
thanks in advance

Looks like you are not going to be able to update from a previous version, you'll either have to stick with the old version, or start again.

But i'm no updating from older version, another idea, if i can see the problem i can start the forum... All files are new, i've re-instaled again, same thing... what could be wrong?

Right now this is getting confusing two people posting two different errors in the same topic. Makes it hard to follow and workout who to answer!!!!
