This is a great news for web developers. You can now see how your website design look like on Safari.

Oh no!!

Safari is a horrible browser, the only good thing at the moment is no-one uses it. If they bring out a Windows version more people will start to use it which means a right headache for developers trying to work around all the bugs in this browser.

Hmmm agree there, rather than "see how your website design look like on Safari" it'll be a case of see what new and wonderful ways your site breaks on yet another non-compliant browser.

I also imagine the Windows version will be different to the MAC version, so we will still need to test it on Safari on the Mac.

It's fast and webwiz looks good on it, but it does not support the WYSIWYG RTE Ouch

Apple have added support for RTE's in their latest version. It's meant to work in the same way as IE's RTE API but it seems to be lacking most of the basic functions and there is no documentation on how to use it.

Hopefully this will improve and will have to have another look at it when they get a new version out.

A developer at work started praising this today, saying it's faster, more secure than IE etc.  I had to bite my lip before I argued my 2 cents.

Just downloaded Safari to give it a whirl - works pretty nicely, except fonts seem REALLY blurry.

LOL, they found 6 holes within the first hour of release. Granted it's beta.
