When i installed the asp.net framwork 2.0 i noticed that when i clicked start >> All programs, everything was empty.

I have searched on web how to solve this and get some anwser but none of that helped me.
I tried :
- regsvr32 /i shell32.dll ( no success )
- HKEY CURRENT USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Set Start Menu value to "%USERPROFILE%\Start Menu"

- HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Set Common Start Menu value to "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu"
( no success )

- Even checked if some folders were set to hidden as one suggested that, but everything is set as it should be.

- sadly my system restore is set to off so no luck there too.
---------------
Any1 has any idea how to fix that or should i just reinstall winXP?

Thanks,

Create a new user and log in as such, had something similar way back and it was a bad profile.

back up your files, delete your profile via admin account and re login. It should create you a fresh one.
