Moderated topics?

I would like my forum to be fully moderated.

When I post a topic it goes though to be moderated. (Thats fine)

When I approve the topic it becomes available to all to see (this is fine)

Now

When i edit the post as the creator. it does not need approving again once its edited. This seems to be a loop hole in the moderation system (not good) 

is this an oversight or am I missing some options??
