When a new post of topic is posting the follow error:


Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occurred while writing to the database.
Please contact the Forum Administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_save_new_topic_data
File Name:- new_post.asp
Forum Version:- 10.01

In the old version 9 the follow error is now giving:

Server Error in Forum Application
An error has occurred while writing to the database.
Please contact the forum administrator.

Support Error Code:- err_SQLServer_save_new_post_data
File Name:- new_post.asp

Error details:-
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'Thread_ID', table 'woonhelp2.dbo.tblThread'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

Very confusing to read through your posts and very limited information.

Could you start again and give more details such as what version you are using, the database type, if it is an upgrade from a previous version, etc.
