IIS HELL err i mean Help

Im running windows 2000 advanced server but have also tried win2k iis as well. I have set the permissions in the iis configuration panel using the wizard as a public site, i can see the site fine but cannot write to the databas i get this error

Error Type:
Microsoft JET Database Engine (0x80004005)
Operation must use an updateable query.
/forum/common.asp, line 403

Its driving me crazy ive made sure the folder is not read only any suggestions please??

i had this problem on my WinXP comp at home

sometimes i get this error when i transfer asp files from a disc to the hard drive. It sometimes gives it the "Read Only Property" . Highlight the asp files and click on properties, then un-check the read only option.  A box comes up asking you if you want to apply to all folders and subfolders, click yes, and this should hopefully solve the problem.
