For some reason some of my users and recently myself are having difficulty replying to or editing a post.

We can write a reply or edit a post but when we press the post reply button we either get a blank page or a page not found. I did have some success if the amount of text was quite short but even that does not seem to work every time.

Because my spelling is awfull I tend to write an item in word then cut and paste, thiss seemed to work fine initially but will only work now with new posts

Any ideas?

If posts are really exceptionally long then ASP can only handle up to 100kb for the Request object that reads in the post, cookies, etc.

Try downloading IEspell you can then use this to spell check in IE.

Can you account for the issue of small replies such as this one, not being accepted?

Is there anything I can do to warn people when thier message is getting too long?

Try turning off friendly HTTP error messages in IE and next time it happens post what the error message is and the line number.

It's to long to go into, you will just have to wait for the next release of the forum.
