I'm running Web Wiz Forum 7.01 with a MS SQL database and wanted to know if there was a way to sort the latest postings within a topic to the very top instead of at the bottom.

This way, when people log in, they see the latest posting for that topic.

Thx.

Dluk

Hello Dluk,

Approx line 267 in "forum_posts.asp" you'll find this:

strSQL = strSQL & "ORDER BY " & strDbTable & "Thread.Message_date ASC;"

Change the "ASC" (ascending) to "DESC" (descending) --without the quotes--and that will change the order the posts display.

Jim
