How to change the registration user name's numer.

Only>3!!!!!

SOS!!!!!!!!!

For example.I use only" 1 " to be a user name,but the system can't do that registration works.

The username must be at least 3 characters for the forum to work as part of the username is split to create user codes etc. in teh forum, if less characters are used teh forum engine may become un-stable.

But if we use Chinese Character,we ofter give ouselves names with only two characters.such as 中国，大飞，冲 986;etc.

 

What about that.

You can change the foollowing line in register.asp:-

  
//Check for a username

        if (document.frmRegister.name.value.length <= 3){
 
         &nbs p;     
errorMsg  += "\n\t<% = strTxtErrorUsernameChar %>";

        }


But you may get some problem unstability problems when running the forum after.

If you have any problems I think you could do something like this:

At the top of the userCode function on functions_common.asp add:

If Len(strUsername) = 2 Then strUsername = "A" & strUsername
