Make sure that you are running the database upgrade tool on an ASP enabled web server.

Just opening the file in IE won't work, it is an ASP file so needs to run through an ASP enabled web server.

If using IIS on your local machine you need to run the file through http://localhost

If you still have issues please could you be a bit more descriptive, like what you are doing, what file you are running, and what database version you are using? as your posts are a bit vague on what it is you are doing.

Hi,the file is running through http://localhost. I am running webwiz version 7.91 and i am trying to upgrade to 8.03. When i open the access_update file IE shows this as a text file-if i hit refresh this changes to a graphic with two text boxes to give the location of the database. When i click to upgrade the page reverts back to the text file that was first shown prior to hitting the refresh button.

edit-sorted! I was going to the Inetpub folder and opening the file from there-if i manually type the path in IE it works fine. (localhost/access_update.asp)

The database upgrade tool is available on the download page as a separate download.
