I'm talking about my personal website.  I use YaBB for my forums, and a free PHP uploader for a separate upload page.  This was just an example in reply to what you said about IIS...

At work, we've chosen to go with Web Wiz Forums, which support 5 ASP upload components, two that cost and two that are not available any more.  That leaves one (Dundas) that is free to install.

I have found dll files for the two that are no longer available, but it is not an installer.  I have no idea where to put the dlls...

There is a posting somewhere on this forum by Borg that discusses the 2MB asp limit being a setting in IIS that can be changed if necessary. I think webdav is a better way to go.

Update

I manually deleted the file from the upload folder in the forums directory.  I tried uploading a file called "test.txt".  I was able to upload it and delete it from File Manager without issue.

I reuploaded the first txt file I had a problem with, and again, I couldn't delete it.

The file name is "C&A_Goulet.txt"

What is "webdav"?  (and why don't I have a cursor on these forums? ...I have no idea where I'm typing!)

All I know is that we just paid to upgrade, almost solely for the purpose of uploading, and we still can't upload.  There was no mention of another component required.  How can "file uploading" be advertised as a premium feature when the file uploading functionality is not part of the code?!

Oh, and regarding the 2MB limit, after a little research, it IS a limit of IIS in regards to ASP uploads, not uploads in general.  So if I change the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed value, how do I choose more than 2MB if the pull-down list in Web Wiz Forums still has 2MB?  Does that list somehow read the value of AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed?

Another update

I renamed the previous doc file to test.doc, and it still will not upload, even though it is only 1.37MB.

Update 3

Changed the AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed value to 50000K.  Same error message when trying to upload the test.doc file.
