I would like to add or change one of the options on the profile form, for instance, instead of a place to enter icq address, I would rather it asks for city & state of residence.

How and where do I do that?

Susan, I did it manually, but you better make additional column to tblAuthor and call it, let's say "State".

Then add another variable into all necessary files (register.asp, forum_posts.asp, pop_up_profile.asp as I remember) into all proper arrays.

Are you good with ASP/vbscript?

If you just wanted to replace ICQ, then you could just change 'strTxtICQNumber' in language_files/language_file_inc.asp - its about line 730 - to whatever you wanted, for example, 'State'. You could change any of the field names in the language file to whatever you want.

The problem is that the ICQ-field is connected to an ICQ-icon in posts. So if you write anything in the ICQ-field there will be shown a non-function ICQ-icon in your posts.

To change the ICQ-name in the languagefile is not recomended.

Good point, something I didn't think of . If you want to do it my way, you'll have to open pop_up_profile.asp, and remove the link and the image. For the ICQ field, you will need to delete these from line 375.
