	Anybody know what holds the userID throughout the site? is it a cookie or session variable? Thanks Shem

	though this is kinda late...... the answer is ... nothing - the UserID is taken from the database on each page (well any that include the 'includes/common.asp' file). the forum tracks users with a cookie, which contains whats in the User_Code field of the database. the forum then uses this to figure out who you are and grab details for example your author_id, username and group_id. if you want to use these then use the following: Author_ID = lngLoggedInUserID Username = strLoggedInUsername Group_ID = intGroupID hope this helps
