Ok i got my forum up and running however when i try to log in as admin it asks me for username, password which i put in then as ecurity code that it displays, every bloody one i enter it comes up wrong and generates a new one, now it says ive tried to access administrator account incorrectly 3 times and need to do security code for that aswell, however every one i enter is incorrect when ive put it in as its displayed Dead

EDIT: i even went into the CAPTCHA_image.asp file and searched the security code, example the one im prestented now that i have to type to verify username/password is Cold so i search that and find that its spelt exactly as the CAPTCHA_image.asp file says

strHexImage(176,0) = "47 49 46 38 39 61 70 00 23 00 91 00 00 00 00 99 00 99 ff 00 66 cc 00 3c b2 21 f9 04 04 14 00 ff 00 2c 00 00 00 00 70 00 23 00 00 02 ff 8c 8f a9 cb ed 0f a3 9c b4 da 8b b3 de bc 73 01 86 82 47 96 98 30 00 ea ca 02 c3 30 26 02 60 1e 28 dc c5 19 da be a2 98 52 e1 02 a9 01 89 d7 d2 20 8d 98 e0 8a 09 41 b2 74 1a 97 73 45 8d 48 9f cd 5e 20 f4 0a 8b 61 60 2f e9 0a 00 49 50 a0 16 cd 32 6b dd c2 21 d9 6f 9b 55 f6 a0 94 7d de 81 36 f6 b7 50 26 e4 01 13 38 d8 b0 e5 a2 b8 e0 26 e6 c8 00 12 c4 c7 d1 23 69 17 f7 64 f9 00 e9 b3 13 94 39 71 f5 72 51 3a 14 e1 66 35 ea 30 93 ba b1 29 d4 8a 20 0b 2a 81 c6 fa 61 4a 78 27 89 7a b1 37 21 2b 04 ab 44 25 25 c6 62 6c 40 cc fc 35 76 0b 3c b1 fa 7c 12 e3 94 87 a7 80 29 f3 04 54 bc 6c 4d 58 5d 32 92 6d 73 27 57 2b 8e 80 ae 40 3c 4b 91 3b 8e 31 e5 4b f9 b2 8c d0 4d 84 95 fe e3 53 85 72 47 c4 f1 b2 83 e6 c0 34 16 5f 7e 34 6b d3 6e a0 1b 5a 51 0c 3a 42 13 03 d3 15 11 d7 0c 50 51 34 b0 aa 84 b0 07 18 fd 7d 43 35 ae 9f c4 24 1e 20 45 48 68 4b 1f a7 4e ee 22 5a 08 99 43 a5 03 2f 7b 74 c2 13 f7 51 a1 9b 43 66 48 ca 41 35 b2 81 cf 79 2e 2f ad 83 80 c9 60 d1 8e 36 2f 30 4a a3 a1 c8 d3 9d 33 91 2e 73 14 33 d6 d5 a0 fe ce 6d a5 5a 0c 06 d0 a9 8f 38 91 95 11 66 e9 a4 14 3a 02 71 4d bb 05 c7 44 a5 5f 3d cc a1 87 8f 52 23 80 32 0d 29 70 12 29 ac c9 6f 70 93 e6 88 96 cb 4f ad 18 f9 f6 14 1e f1 b7 5a e5 4f b3 08 fa fd ab e6 ce 24 35 36 04 39 2c ed 03 4c 62 68 85 e5 81 c4 5b e3 61 62 d2 9a 06 81 ee 45 bb 59 24 d4 74 b4 09 8a 0d f0 6f b4 dc a3 7b fb 42 b8 5a f6 6c 20 a6 81 03 3f bd a6 4e 70 8e 0f 89 3b bf 8e 1d 42 01 00 3b"

Sounds like your server has issues holding teh ASP session.

This is a common problem which has been answered 100's of times in this forum, just do a search for 'session'.

Borg, you keep saying there's something wrong with the web server (unable to hold session) but: I am having this same problem with Administrator account only, I have a standard Windows Server 2003 installation with one processor and all service packs and no server farm. Can you tell me what might be wrong with the server?
