Sorry to post this here, but since we can not post in the 10 Blog, I felt this was the best place.
 
Just wondering what the status is of version 10, the last update was in January, and it's now April.
 
We use a licensed version of 9 but are hearing grumblings from our customers who want personal blogs.
 
Bruce if you could give us an update on version 10 that would be great!

The blogging tools are a massive development project and are still in the process of being developed.

Allot of new features are being added to the next release which all take time.

At the moment development is concentrated on the CAPTCHA security images as we have seen some spamming bots who are getting around this as it uses a set of 200+ images built into it.

The new version that is being developed will create bitmap images on the fly. This not only means that the image will always be random but allows greater customisation as you will be able to set the colours, distortion level, etc.

Work is progressing well on the new CAPTCHA and we hope to have a new version 9 with this in in a matter of weeks, so that user can make sure their present forums are well protected while version 10 is being developed.
