Hi,

I'm just wondering if it's possible to upgrade from version 5.22 to 7.01 or 7.1? I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me how to do this, as I wasn't able to find anything in previous messages.

or maybe there's just an upgrade to version 6 available?

There is no upgrade from such an old version.

Your only option would be to compare old a new databases and try and recreate all the new fields and tables.

You may also have problems with the encrypted passwords used in version 7.

I assume it would be easier to lock all the topics in your v5 forum and set up v7 on your site with v5 linked as the archive. If people want to reply to something in the archive (v5) then they have to do so in the new one. Depending on your forums amount of visitors, it will take just a few visits to get it running as normal.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
