Is anyone aware of anything that can switch between applications as follows.....

Say I have 3 apps running (Word, Excel and IE)
I want to be able to have 1 visible (maximized) for a set period of time (eg 30 seconds)
After that time, the focus is then switched to the next app
After the last app has been displayed for the preset time, focus will then revert back to application 1 (ie looped).

Thanks in advance
Gary

I agree why on earth would you want that?

Easy to do in VB6 just need a timer and a few routines.

Well maybe it's for a Demo computer on some kind of exhibition..

I agree with Phat, in vb (.net) I'd just load all processes into a listbox or so, you select the ones ou want to loop and by handle you show them based on a timer.

Or if you want to make your program automatically press Alt + Tab just use

SendKeys.Send("%{TAB}")

Gullanian / Phat

We have a wall mounted plasma screen in my office and we want to cycle through various applications which monitor the status of our IT infrastructure (network status, helpdesk issue monitoring, server health, etc).

I thought it would be quite simple, but having not done anything with VB for years, I was kinda hoping that someone would already have something to do this.

I think Marts idea is by far the simplest, I created a quick sample for you here it shows a Taskbar icon once activated.... Let me know if you want the source (really simple)
