Version 9 will be released in beta within the next few days.

There has been quite a few changes but not real hardcore redevelopment of the main forum engine and testing is very rigorous as most of our beta versions are more stable that allot of so called full release software you get. I would imagine that any bugs that come to light will be minor and only require small adjustments to fix them so should have the full version released hopefully within a couple of weeks.

Hi Borg,

thank you very much for your feedback. Also when my forum account is from 2007 im using your software since years. So the quality is not the question ;o).

I will wait the few days and will go further with other packages in my project.

Sebastian

Hi

I Browsed The Forum using opera 9.x

I see small Question mark in front of my old post in page 13 of this topic.

this marks are not shown on old froum 8.06.

  I thinks its encoding problem

thanks

Yes the default page encoding is being changed to UTF-8 which should have been done years ago to give better support for non wastern character sets.

The problem you see at present is because the old forum is also running which is not set to UFT-8.

If you do not like this in your own installation it can always be changed.

My only concern, as I trust whatever you do, boRg LOL

Will the upgrade procedure be difficult with alot of database changes, or have you made it easyer for us to upgrade?

There will be an upgrade tool just like from 7 to 8 which will make any database changes for you.

Will there be the possibility of running it in old asp or must it be asp.net "right out of the box"?
If we install it and run the "script" to upgrade the database, it must run right away in asp.net?
Trying to figure out how a person would do this on a very active forum.......
