Thanks For the help! i was able to figure out most of it but one part.

This is my string:

/CMS/default.asp?MinistryAreaID=174&DepartmentID=8

then i changed the str variables to :

strQueryString1 = Request.QueryString("DepartmentID")

then i Response.Write(strQueryString1) Response.End and i get nothing. I also tryed it with your QS1= and it didn't work.

As the text area is in an Iframe the querystring are first passed to the file include/RTE_message_form_inc.asp then relayed onto the Iframe.

You will either have to change the querystrings in include/RTE_message_form_inc.asp as well as in RTE_textbox.asp

OR

Just change the querysting name sto that page eg.

/CMS/default.asp?QS1=174&QS2=8

First of all: congratz! Great editor!

Second: found a little bug: Some charactors are translated strangely. For example: ‘ is translated to ‘

Third: Tip: add to RTE_textarea.asp to see invisible table-borders:
<STYLE>
td {border:1px dotted #CCCCCC;}
</STYLE>

I suggest adding buttons for adding

flash file.

Right Align for languages from right to left.

That's probably defensive coding to prevent sql injection attacks. There's characters you don't want included in a string that gets saved to a db as they are part of the sql syntax and can change the meaning/purpose of the sql statement.

dpyers,

Nope, nothing like that. It was just another character encoding-set.

I solved it by replacing:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">
into:
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1">
