If you want a basic chat application you can use Conquer Chat But i highly doubt you would get ALL the features listed here (eg audio, video, wap etc) for free, or cheaply. it would also require components installed onto the server.

I really need voice enabled ASP chat or at least a messenger from where members will be able to communicate with each other. What server components do I need and How much it may cost? Anyone willing to do the development is welcome.

The one I'm working on (with the help of my pro programming friend) is a voice/video/text multithreaded web-based ActiveX-based ASP.NET-based SQL/MySQL-based chat.
Unfortunately it will not be offered for free but by monthly subscriptions. Currently it's being debugged... here are some screen shots from the chat room:

Info_Tech can you tell me the installation process of your program and a bit more about pricing?

The install process will be seamless... however there are requirements for the type of hosting you need to have in order for the chat to work on your website. You will have to have ASP.NET support with either MS SQL or MySQL database support.
We will provide a fully functional ASP.NET registeration system as well as a database setup script.
At this time there are no pricing figures in place as we're busy with the development of the software... but i can give you an approximate figure. Pricing will depend on the number of users and the number of chat rooms that you want. Voice/Video services eat a lot of bandwidth which will also effect pricing:
Here is an example and this should be an approximate figure:
Number of rooms: 1
Number of users: 10
Price per month: $29.99
Number of rooms: 2 Number of users: 30
Price per month: $49.99
and so on.... users are concurrent across rooms, meaning if you have 2 rooms and you're allowed to have 30 users... you can have those users in one or 2 of the rooms.

So 1 room with 10 users for $30 a month? That will never sell.

I agree. This will be tough to sell. Keep me updated Info_Tech. I have ASP.NET 2.0 and MySQL v4 on my servers. And also streaming media support. I see I can host that but can't afford

I think it looks like a good app, with good functions, but agree that the pricing is a little too steep.

Guys, consider this:
- Enable 'Blue' membership: By enabling this function, basic non-blue users are limited and cannot stream video, change font size/color, cannot change theme... until they upgrade to blue membership. Your members will pay YOU to get a blue nickname so they could stream unlimited video and use all available chat functions like changing font colors/themes... A yearly membership. For example, if a member wants to renew their blue nickname they have to pay you every year like $19... Isn't that cool?
- You get a full and secure ASP.NET 2 registeration system. Hopefully webwiz forums version 10 will be of ASP.NET so we may build a membership API for that, too if we see a high demand for it.
- Crystal clear video quality and high audio quality.
- Admin options allow you to ban irregualr users for as long as you want with one click. You can kick, bounce for 1 hour, ban for 30 days, ban for x amount of hours, a parameter that you specify in the source code. You can take Mic, Take-down cam, Ignore user, and much more.
- Private texting.
- Admin can decide how much power to give moderators... you may want some moderators to view users IP, you may want some to be limited to just kick and not ban, etc...
- A lot of other features...
Let's just wait until it's released and I will put a live demo on our website for it so you could test it. At this time there is no deadline for the completion of this project. It may take a few months from now to finish. As of now we're implementing new features, and working on making the chat so that it does not work if you have not susbcribed and paid... this is probably the hardest part... making sure people don't use your software when they're not authorized to
