Topic: Why do I always see license agreement ? Posted: 28 November 2003 at 8:55am |

Hi, I don't know why. But I keep seeing license page when I goto forum admin. It asks to 'accept' or 'cancel' . When it wants me to accept, my forum seems very slow. Does anyone know how to solve the problem ?

Scroll down to the bottom of the page.. The author is entitled to some sort of enticement for reimbursement for such a generous gift as these forums. A donation will remove that little if any inconvenience.

So all other also have this problem ? I am fine with that page. But when it wants to show the page, I don't know how it decides to show or not to show, the whole forum slows down which makes the forum un-usable. What I see is that my forum get hung up every several minutes. Is it supposed to behavior that way ? Actually I don't think it's normal.   ;And I remember it works well before this morning, until the server's date is set wrong and be corrected later.

Click on Accept and it'll work Rest problems, please explain in detail

Yes that is right. If you want the license agreement to go away you have to buy the cheap license removal key.

Click on the accept button is not a problem. I will be happy to click it, before I decided to buy a removal key. The point here is that the whole forum hungs up when I am required to accept the agreement and I don't know when I am required do so. Is there such document says that ' the forum owner is required to accept the agreement every ten minutes or else the forum will hung ' ? Is it designed to behave that way in order to push everyone to buy a removal key ? I can't believe it. If it's not an expected behavior, it may be a bug of the forum.

ummm oooooook
well i see everyone is ignoring your problem
but they're right, get the link removel code and you wont see the liecence agreement, or links below (like the powered by)
but to your problem,
i doubt that your forum is crashing becose your accepting the agreement, all it does is takes you to the admin area, and ive noticed it must set a cookie so it knows you've accepted, and then you wont be bugged by it again.... till the cookie is deleted
but i doubt it would crash your site, mines fine... have you set the path to the database in the 'admin/common.asp' file?
or if your on Access try to "Compact and repair" the database
see if that helps

Thanks Scotty_32.
Actually my forum did not work well before the hung problem. My server date was once set wrong, a month early, and the forum stopped working, no one can post new topic until the date is corrected. I think it's a bug that shall be considered.
After corrected above problem, I encountered the forum hung problem. When I find the forum slows down, I have to goto admin to accept the agreement and then, the forum works again. I hope the developer of the forum finds my feedback useful.
