When i install WWF 8.01 and get to the step where I open the sql setup page in IE, I get the following error: 
 
The Web site that is referenced here is not in the configuration database.
 
Any ideas?

Yep, you need to exclude the wwf directory from the Sharepoint managed sites. Easy to do in the admin menu,
