Hello All,

I followed some very good guidelines posted on these boards to do the access to sql upgrade, then the 7.9 to 8.0 upgrade.

Everything appears fine, except that in every forum i have, the replies were reset to " -2 ".

Has anyone else seen this behavior, and if so, how do i correct it?

Thanks

It sounds like the database upgrade didn't go correctly.

You should upgrade your Access database first, then move across to SQL Server.

Thanks for the reply. The first thing I did was to run the .asp script to update the .mdb file from 7.9 to 8.0. I then Ported that DB to SQL, and installed the SQL version of the forums. It does seem a bit faster, and the only problem i have is with the number of replys. From the admin tools, I ran the tool to resync the thread and post counts, but it didnt fix it.

Any ideas?

The number of replies is set by the upgrade tool when upgrading from the version 7 database, this is where things sound like they went wrong.

Unless you go back to do the precess again so that the reply fields can be populated with the correct amount then these fields will only be updated when someone posts in those topics.
