I came across something a while ago which I thought was a great idea, but it's in PHP Unhappy.

Not only is it a hit counter but it does the following:

Shows percentage and numbers for:
The top 25 Browsers/Operating Systems/Extensions/Robots

Plus other useful information.

Sounds like a log analyzer. Check out AWstats.
