Is there any way I can prevent a banned IP address from even viewing the forum posts?

Banned IP's only reduce the user to that of a Guest, so you would need to block access to the forum to Guest users to do this.

That is a feature that I'd really like to have also.

I did have some custom code that worked until I upgraded to v8.x.  Then it quit working.

I accomplished this by looking for the banned = true flag and then redirecting to a static page.

You can add a global.asa file and put a redirect in it - use the session_onstart event.
global asa only fires for asp pages though.

If you have access to the server you can also specify to deny access to your site for certain IP addresses or ranges.
