Hey My boss asked me to look for a yahoo messenger button for her website. The one that says if your online or offline and if you click on it it will open an im window. Can anyone tell me or give me a link were i can find that. thanks

Does she actually want to use YM or does she want to use something like it - e.g. online chat?

Well everyone has yahoo so she wanted to use that button so people know if the person they are trying to reach is online or not shes also looking for the same thing but for AIM. So she wants to use YM and AIM and is looking for those buttons so people can just im use. thank you very much.

You'd normally have to mod her im client to post it's status to the web site. There's a java api for yahoo messenger at sourceforge that I had looked at a while ago. IIRC, it could status the IM server but was a hack. You might want to search there to see if there's a .net api.

Yahoo released it's search api but I don't recall seeing their IM api formally released.
