I'm trying to test WWF with MSSQL 2000 and am not able to complete the msSQL_server_setup.asp setup.  All I get is an error (just like the others in this forum).  When I run the page, I get the following error:
Error Connecting to database on SQL Server

Check the following is set up and correct:-

SQL Server User Name
SQL Server Password
Name of the SQL Server
Database name set up by you on the server
Empty Database set up by you on the SQL Server

Check also that you have entered the correct details in the file 'database_connection.asp' found in the 'database' directory.

Here's my entries from the database_connection.asp modification:
strSQLServerName = "10.1.1.11" 'Holds the name of the SQL Server (This is the name/location or IP address of the SQL Server)
strSQLDBUserName = "sa" 'Holds the user name (for SQL Server Authentication)
strSQLDBPassword = "**********" 'Holds the SA password (for SQL Server Authentication)
strSQLDBName = "rokforums"  'Holds the name of the database
I can connect to the blank MSSQL database "rokforums" via Query Analyzer with the above credentials so MSSQL is running in mixed authentication mode. (BTW, IIS 5, my website, and MSSQL 2000 are all running on this same testbed server)

Here's my entries from msSQL_server_setup.asp:
SQL Server Username: 10.1.1.11
SQL Server Password: **********
SQL Server Username for creating tables: sa
I've triple checked all my entries and fat fingers is not the issue.  I've confirmed that sa is dbo on the "rokforums" database.

This all seems pretty straight forward and not unfamiliar to me, so any help would be appreciated.  If I can't get this working on the test bed, I will have to find some other forum software to test and roll-out.

Thanks in advance,
John

Doh!  Fixed my own incompetence.  It was a reading problem.  The entries on the msSQL_server_setup.asp page that worked are:
SQL Server Username: sa
SQL Server Password: **********
SQL Server Username for creating tables: DBO
Once I got this right, it completed with no further problem.

Double Doh!
