The forum has been built and tested on Win XP since September 2002, so it wouldn't be lack of testing on that plateform.

I just uploaded the forums to my site and they seem to be working but I cannot log in. I get the same cookie message as mention here. I am running XP.
I have set my browser to allow all cookies.
I have deleted all cookies, temp internet files, restarted, etc...
I have also tried from another computer running XP. (couldn't even register for this forum on that computer--- same cookie message)
Judging by the number of views this category has, I'd say there must be some kind of cookie issue with the software, relating to XP. HELP!!!

More info on this...
I've tried from a Windows 2000 machine, and using Mozilla, and still get the same cookie problem.
It's looking like its a problem on the server side possibly with the setup of the forums. The only thing I've done that could possibly cause an issue is editing the common.asp file to point to where I moved the database. Anyone have a clue why this is happening or suggestions of what might be done to fix it?

If you do a search you will find that this is asked almost daily and I feel like a parot continually repeating myself.
For security reasons browsers can only set and read back in cookies by the site that set them.
Things like URL/IP masking, domain forwarding, frames, dynamic DNS,
etc. can prevent browsers from correctly setting and reading back in
cookies.
If you are using any of the above it will mean that cookies are not set
properly on your site and will prevent the login, system that useses
cookies from working.

Great. So how do I fix it? Is there documentation somewhere on this site that tells how to set up cookies properly on the server?
I can follow directions well enough to get the forums loaded onto my site, but this is my first attempt at web publishing...I'm new to all of this, I wouldn't know if they were set up properly if they emailed me saying 'Hey dummy, fix us'. Point me to a manual, or to someone that can help me please.
And I'm sorry you feel like a Parrot, but if that's the case perhaps there Should be some kind of howto document on cookies put in with the forums download. If this many people are having a problem with the same thing, then throw us a bone here.
